The National Low Income Housing Coalition released a study recently that showed there is no county in the United States where someone earning a minimum-wage salary can afford to rent a one-bedroom apartment.

NLIHC says this is the first time that's ever happened. Using federal guidelines to compare housing costs with salaries across the country, using 30 percent of monthly income for housing and energy costs.
